Theme

After much deliberation by the panel of judge, I can now announce the winner of the Choose A Theme For Our Wedding competition. The entries were very strong, and it was very hard to choose, but in the end the judge decided on Fran Merivale's entry, "No theme whatsoever, and then Fran gets to go horse-riding on the honeymoon."

Kris Jenkins' entry, "Lewis Carroll Xtreme - 2031AD", was a close runner-up.

Heavens. Been away for a while getting steadily more and more pregnant-looking, pop back to check up on you and... you're getting married! My word. Congratulations! I'm sure it will all be very chic and groovy. Just PLEASE don't wear silver paisley. The woman deserves better.

Who says I only work for one Underground Movement? Actually, it's just as well you're not saying which one, as I'd have to kill you. Or maybe Gerald. He's had it coming for a long time. [wink]

I didn't realise anyone worked on the Underground in England. Aren't they always on strike?

HEHEHEHEHe
Lewis Carroll Extreme - you do make me laugh!

"Fudge" is a code word, ladies and gentlemen. Dragon Mama works for The Underground Movement, but I'm not telling you which one.

Is this just a ploy to have us make more fudge? Because you'll have to get married in the UK as I'm not shipping it abroad!

That's it! Next time Kirsty and I get married, I want The Imperial March!

Console yourself with the thought that it's possible to do practically anything to a digital wedding video. Or an ordinary video, for that matter. My friend S recorded our friend E's wedding, and edited the video so that she walked down the aisle to the Darth Vader march.

heee

i just got a vision of fran all dressed up in the wedding veil, "L" learner plate etc etc with a *slightly* concerned look on her face [grin]

I think that should be the cover of her next book

Don't worry Lou - you can wear the outfit on the hen do. [smile]

But I've already bought the outfit!!! [sad]

Isn't this supposed to be MY day?!?!?

hmph.

Indeed. The guest list is still at a very flexible stage.

As a seasoned wedding-guest, I was going to point out to the commentors that, as far as I know, Kris and Fran haven't finalised the guest list yet, so as a purely altruistic piece of advice, I'd tone down the smart comments for the time being in case Fran decides to prune this list!

Louise, you WERE going to be a bridesmaid. Panto horse? You're fired.

This space reserved for Pete's "Sacking Oxford" pun.

Submitted by Kris on Tue, 2006-05-16 08:30.

I vote a star wars theme. Fran as princess Leia and R2D2 and the C3PO as bridesmaids.....

OR - Vikings!!!! Fran arrives in a long boat and we all drink tankards of mead and sack Oxford.

OR...

ok, well...i can see where Fran's plan might have some merit....although I might still arrive in fancy dress: does anyone fancy pairing up and going as a pantomime horse with me? It'll be great...all the cool people are doing it.

Oh in that case then, best leave it like that don't want to mess with judge nobblers could be messy [wink]

Tempting isn't it? But I think Fran's nobbled the judge.

I would demand a recount!
