I was walking through Hammersmith bus station the other night, where they have a rather ropey P.A. system. The speakers are either too low power, or too far apart, but as you walk around the sound fades out from one speaker, and fades in from another. They were playing Classic FM at the time. The whole effect is rather like being stalked by an invisible violinist...
